The USA Junior Gold Bowling National Championships is the premier event for YABA Junior Bowlers. Many people compare this to the ABC and WIBC National Championships. However there are many differences to those tournaments that make this event quite unique:
 | You cannot purchase an entry to the USA Junior Gold National Championships. You must earn a spot (there is a limit of 1500 entries) through local qualifiers. Note each IYSBT event is a Junior Gold Qualifying event. |
| Team members for Junior Team USA are picked at this event. The top six male and top six female bowlers along with 4 others picked by the selection committee will represent the United States in competitions throughout the world. |
| College coaches from around the nation use this event to recruit for their teams. |
| Over $50,000 in scholarship money will be given away during the tournament. |
